Sizzle & Savor Smash Burger

Yields: 4 servings


Ingredients:

2 pounds lean ground beef

4 strips of bacon, minced

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons sea salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Tabasco sauce

2 tablespoons oil

8 American cheese slices (or cheese of your choice)

4 leaves of lettuce

2 thinly sliced tomatoes

1 thinly sliced red onion

Dill pickle slices

4 toasted Brioche burger burns (or bun of your choice)

2 tablespoons MES Amis Sizzle & Savor Burger Blend.


Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons MES Amis Sizzle & Savor Burger blend with 2 pounds of lean ground beef.

  2. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  3. After the 30 minutes, add bacon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and Tabasco sauce to the large bowl.

  4. Create 8 equal size meat balls and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and quickly place in the refrigerator for another 10-15 minutes.

  5. Preheat a cast iron or griddle to medium to medium-high heat and add on the oil.

  6. Add the burger meat balls to the surface and immediately press down using a burger press and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until juices start to appear on the top of the uncooked side of the burger.

  7. Flip the burger over and immediately add cheese and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until cooked through and the cheese is melted.

  8. To assemble: Layer with bottom toasted bun, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, cheeseburger patties, and top bun and enjoy!
